DIY Masking - Home Edition

DIY Masking - Home Edition

DIY Masking using top tier ingredients found right in your kitchen!

Most of our time is being spent indoors these days, which means it's time to get creative with our skin care routines! And believe it or not, there’s a lot you can do by simply using the foods found right in your very own home. Not only do these common household foods contain countless benefits for your skin, they also act as great all natural alternatives!

Fine Line Fighter

Aging is inevitable, but we'll take anything to slow the process down just a tad!

We love this mask that helps smooth the appearance of fine lines, especially around the eyes:

- 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt

-Mix in 2 teaspoons of honey

-Mix in 2 teaspoons of ground coffee

-Stir it all together and apply to your forehead, under area of your eyes and your temples

*Avoid putting it on your eyelids

-Let the mask sit for 20 min

-Remove with warm water and pat dry

The lactic acid in the yogurt will help dissolve dead skin and tighten pores. Plus, the caffeine firms the skin to fight wrinkles, naturally!

Pack Your Bags!

Stressed? Can't sleep? Binge watching TV?

Yeah, same...

Ease your mind and help your dark circles with these cooling ingredients:

-Make sure your hair is wrapped up in a towel

*This step is CRUCIAL to get the full benefits ;)

-Cut two chilled cucumber slices into 2 circles for your eyes

-Leave on your eyes for 15 min, then remove

The chilled cucumbers relieve any redness & inflammation.

Once you have removed the cucumber:

-Apply half avocado slices under your eyes (they should look just like eye patches)

-Leave on for 5-10 minutes before removing

The natural oil and vitamin E in avocados help with reducing the appearance of bags under our eyes and is an overall antioxidant that helps protect our skin from damage.

Hello Hydration

Give your skin the extra pampering and tall drink of water it deserves!

Your skin will thank you later!

Let’s begin:

-Mash half an avocado

-1 tablespoon of honey and

-1 tablespoon of cocoa powder

-Mix ingredients together and apply to your face

-Leave on treatment for 10 minutes

-Wash off with warm water and reveal your replenished skin!

If you couldn’t tell, avocado is our favorite ingredient because of all its hydrating and healing properties! Adding the cocoa boosts the benefits of the avocado for the most skin-soothing antioxidant mask!

We hope the skin around your eyes feels revived and refreshed with these DIY treatments!
